Hello all my long lost friends from S.F,

So after moving to D.C., we finally started a blog. I know you all probably forgot I even existed! What have we been up to these past few years? Working, school, a few vacations in between, and of course having our first baby. What are we up to now? Josh is interning for Senator Harry Reid in Washington D.C. and loving every minute of it. We live on Capitol Hill where Josh is able to walk to work every morning. The area is very nice and close to several Metro stops. I catch the metro with Grace a few times a week. We have gone to lots of museums together just her and I, and she really loves all of this mommy time. There is so much history here, so many things to see and do, that our free time is spent walking around the Capitol. We will be here until May and possibly longer. Josh has recently applied to graduate school and he is hoping to attend school somewhere here on the East Coast. He is looking to do a dual MBA and Masters program in bio-technology. That about sums it all up! I miss you all and hope life is treating you well. Here is a link to my blog if anyone wants to keep in touch.

Kandis' Christmas Card...

Hey everyone!!!

This is a belated Christmas card.....sorry we didn't get one in the mail!!!

I just wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year!!! I hope all is going well! I wish you all happiness and success in the coming year.Colt and I are doing very well. We are still going to school and working....the usual. I am in my final year of pharmacy school. I graduate in May with my PharmD degree. (I know it has been 7 years!!!) Colt also graduates with his bachelor’s degree in May. Colt has applied to medical school, and we are getting ready to start another great adventure involving more schooling!!!! (We can't seem to get enough) We don't know where we are going to school yet, but we will let you know when we find out. Colt has been accepted to schools in Arizona, Nevada, and Missouri. He has interviewed at the U of U (they won't let us know until March/April if he is accepted), and he is interviewing in a couple of weeks at the Medical School of Wisconsin (I know, cold). I am voting for the U for a couple of reasons: to stay in Utah, and for cheaper schooling!

We recently had an opportunity to go on a cruise to Mexico, and it was a blast. Colt and I just decided to go by ourselves, and we had the time of our lives. We went to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. Since our Spanish skills are less than spectacular, we had to resort to our expansive knowledge of English, and especially Russian to communicate with the locals. It's amazing how universal 'Corona' is! I have never seen so many drunk people in my entire life!!! The couples we ate with every night could not get over the fact that we didn't drink, and so we got the nickname, 'Utah.' We went snorkeling (in 55 degree water...it was painfully cold), parasailing, and hung out in Cabo. Our favorite Port was Cabo San Lucas. The water was beautiful, and we were able to hang out at Colt's new favorite place...Cabo Wabo Cantina. It is a restaurant and club that has live music all day and night. It is owned by Sammy Hagar the former Van Halen lead singer, and so the entire place is themed after Van Halen. Colt was in Heaven.

We had a wonderful holiday with our families. We feel blessed for the opportunity to spend a lot of time with them, especially if we end up moving away. Its nice to have most of them close. That pretty much sums up our year. We hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas season, and took time to enjoy the festivities. Most importantly, we hope you had the opportunity to reflect upon the purpose of the season, and feel our Savior's love. I love this time of year!!

Have a Happy New Year.

Love,
Kandis

New post please.....

Alright ladies, it has been how long since the last post on here? We have all been complete slackers to say the least! So how about an update from everyone. I know now that most of us have our own family blogs (come on Lynds and Kandis, jump on the bandwagon) but we still need to give props to the friends blog, haha! It sounds like everyone had a great Christmas with their families. Hope everything is going well with you all. Updates soon!

Love,
Lindsay
